Privacy & community
This is a local development installation. Before a public release, the operator must publish its identity, contact address, retention periods and the age/consent arrangements for its audience.
Your observations are yours to share
When you submit an observation, it appears immediately for everyone under your chosen display name. Existing private observations remain private. Authorised staff can review saved content to operate the service. Pre-publication moderation is not enabled. Your Google name and email are not shown in the discovery feed. You can delete your observations from My discoveries.
A place for curiosity
Share observations about the concept. Do not post names, schools, contact details, insults or dangerous challenges. Aha! is a way to recognise understanding, not a competition.
Discussion and AI
When AI discussion is enabled, the question, your learning progress and recent discussion are sent to the configured provider. When it is disabled, no generated reply is returned. AI can make mistakes; use the reviewed explanation and talk to a teacher about important doubts. Do not enter personal or sensitive information. Clear a conversation from its discussion screen.
Question reminder interest
If you opt in, we store your account ID, curriculum, grade and signup source to measure interest in email reminders. Your email stays in your Google sign-in account record and is not shown publicly. Email delivery is not enabled yet. You can remove this preference using “Stop notifications” in your profile menu. No email is sent until delivery is connected.
On this device
Signed-in question progress is also stored with your account to resume learning and provide context for discussion. Your grade, question progress and unfinished drafts are stored in your browser. Sign-in uses cookies. Account records are stored in Supabase. Clear site data in your browser to remove local drafts and preferences. Google sign-in and external videos involve their respective providers.
How we measure use
To learn whether questions help, your browser keeps a random code that is not linked to your name or email. With it we count steps such as opening a question, making a prediction or reading the explanation, and which link brought you here (for example a YouTube video). We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits; it does not use cookies. We never record what you type into these counts. Clear site data in your browser to reset the code.
Browser notifications
If you tap “Turn on notifications” and allow them, your browser gives us a delivery address for that browser, which we store with your curriculum and grade. We use it only to send one notification when a new question is ready. Turn notifications off in your browser’s site settings at any time, and we stop sending.
